New to the site

Hello all.. Been viewing the threads and I needed to get on and ask some questions of my own. I have a 2007 3500 Dually Megacab 4x4 5.9 , all stock except for K&N cartridge filter and superchips Flashpac. I am having an issue with shuttering at start off from stop and then it continues up to and not including the "death wobble" that has been talked about. It is more like a shimmey or shudder all the way from about 30 on up. I ave traded out tires, and all the wheels are balanced, did that twice. I also have an issue with the 4x4 part, coming out of 4 Hi yesterday, I turned into my driveway and the left wheel seemed to lock up when I turned left at slow speed. The tire bounced about 4 times and it felt like it was going to fall off. About 2 months ago, I had a popping sound in my steering and the dealership saidd it was my intermediate axle shaft. So they replaced that and it fixed the popping sound but now I have the shake. I do not have a whole lot of faith with dealerships. Any help or advice will greatly be appreciated.

not to my knowledge.. They just said it was the intermediate axle shaft and they said they replaced it, but I have had bad luck with warranty issues being taken care of at dealerships.

jack up the front end and see if there is any slop in the wheels, if they move up or down, in and out at all, also, crawl under the truck and grab the driveline near the ujoints, if you can twist it and see any movement in the joints, they need to be replaced.if you are having vibrations/shuddering, that would be my first guess.

AIGT.... Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give it a check tomorrow after work. And I failed to mention it has 23000 miles on it.

Got under the truck and I dont feel any "out of the ordinary " movement in the U-joints. I do have a question about the front shaft to the 4x4. If it is not engaged ( not in 4 wheel drive ) does the shaft twist when you grab it ? The shimmy is still there and it is driving me nuts. Wife is even saying that the truck is running rough.

My 4x4 shaft has a SMALL amount of play in it but not at the joints.
