New Mobil 1 oil for cummins

I saw a couple weeks back at the local Wal Mart "Mobil I Truck and SUV" oil. Its 5w-40 and is rated for our Cummins engines. Price is the same as the regular mobil 1 for gas engines. Anyof you seen or use this yet? I've been using Amsoil but it is such a pain to get a hold of. I have to order it. Going to Walmart sure is a lot easier. Here is a link to the oil at the Mobil site:

Interesting the differant things that are a pain to one and not another.I think ordering Amsoil is the cats meow and going to Wally world sucks for anything.

Yeah I prefer to buy off the shelf too. That and Mobil 1 and Valvoline are API certified for warranty requirements.

Won't get into the API thing I just can't stand Wally world.Refuse to spend money with them if at all possable.Charge card, catalogs and UPS is a wonderful thing.Have read many independent test studies, will stay with Amsoil products.

I hate ordering things and having to wait for them. When I want something, I want it now, not a week from now. You guys say you would rather order oil then go to Wal-Mart ( or any store) and get it.. Yeah right, if Wal-mart carried Amsoil then I doubt many people would still order it. I have heard just about all the reasons to buy Amsoil, but having to order it and wait on it is a new one..I personally don't see that as being a positive reason. Just my .02

MODERATOR ALERT MODERATOR ALERT

OFF TOPIC OFF TOPIC

Poor guy asks a question about one kind of oil and it goes sideways.

I got one George Foreman Grill at Walmart and I got the other one by ordering off the TV. Both ways worked fine.

Mobil 1 truck and suv is relabeled delvac 1, arguably the best diesel oil you can get. Definitely a good choice for your CTD deere nut.

Schied's diesel carries Fleetguard (cheaper than Geno's) AND Valvoline/cummins "Extreme" which is synthethic.

I will say that WalMarts in some parts of the country, when I'm traveling, are a lot nicer than the one where I live.

In the interest of an "apples to apples" comparison, Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme is a Group III oil (severely hydrocracked hydrocarbon base stock). Mobil I Truck & SUV/Delvac I is a Group IV oil (PAO, or polyalphaolefin base stock). Group IV oils are true synthetics. Group III oils - well, I think of them as "sorta synthetics".

JMHO. YMMV.
