New lift pump

Anyone have any good/bad stories of the new style lift pumps that they are putting in our trucks. Mine went bad this last cold snap we had. I thought it was Jelled up because I never use power service got it to a heated shop looked it over and was getting nothing at the filter housing. Called my local Cummins dealer to pick one up and swap it out and they told me that they no longer make that pump call Chrysler and they will sell me the new pump. Well it is installed and much quieter. No more 2-3 second buzz before starting. I hope this was a good decision I made. My truck just doesn't make the power to justify a FASS system or an Air Dog, etc. Any input appreciated.

you don't need any upgrades to have a far superior lift pump like fass or airdog. when your new one goes out prematurely, get a fass or an airdog-next time.

My lift pump failed 65,000 miles ago. The warrantied repalcement in-tank pump has worked fine since. Covered under the 100,000 mile warranty at no cost to me. Next failure I'll switch to GDP cause warranty is over for me.
