New Front Axle Assembly?

I had some noise coming from my front end and found that it was a bad U-Joint, also had unusual wear on front tires and drove like crap. I bought the truck totaled with only 1,200 miles. I knew what I was getting into. Took it to a local frame and alignment shop and they said the front axle tube were bent pretty bad. Any ways I purchased an entire front axle assembly and am going to be installing it this weekend. Need some advise on parts that should be changed out while I have it sitting in my shop? U-Joint, bearing, seals, ETC... The new (new to me) front axle assembly has 70,000 miles and the truck only has 23,000 miles.

Thanks

U might as well do the u-joints while it is apart... careful on the bearing assembly, it's pretty spendy if you damage it. Ball joints may be shot as well??

time for the dyna trac kit, eliminate the unit bearings at the same time.

WHat is a dynatrac kit?

What is the dyna track kit? I have a 2003 that has 145000 miles and am looking at worn ball joints and tie rods.

the dynatrac kit replaces the unit bearings with standard wheel bearings. it does nothing for the ball joints or tie rod ends.

Although the tubes are bent on you original axles can you use your newer axle to rebuild the older one. Not the ball joints but how about the axles and u-joints at least. That would give you the newer axle parts to match your existing truck without all the expense. Yeah, I know they are not 100k items but might this not be a partial solution to fix what is wrong, bent tubes.....??????
