New to the Diesel World - What a Ride

Just got my new 06 2500 Mega last week and they have already called me back in on a raditor replacement.

My question is: Started out from a red light and not really getting into it, but I heard a loud pop and then my power went way down. I think the turbo has died, if so I am beginning to question this truck QA.

Let me know if I am on the right track. Thanks

Sounds like one of the aftercooler boots has blown off. Did this happened after the radiator replacement?

Ya those boots use to come off of my truck it is no big deal, you can easily put them back on. The people who worked on it prbably forgot to tighten them.

Be Gentle With It Until You Get The Boot Put Back On, If That's Your Problem. With The Boot Off, You Can Build Very High Temps. Because The Air Is Not Flowing Through The Intercooler.

Thanks for your replies.

Took it to the dealer this morning and sure enough, it was the boot. For my trouble, I ask them to put twin turbos on and they laughed at me, go figure.
