my truck has 97,000 on it, its been in the shop over 20 times..
first thing was when pullin a camper the truck felt like it was rolling over and swaying back and forth.. my wife wouldnt even drive it it was so bad, you had to drive it with both hands.. whiteknuckled..lol..crazy the dealer sad nothing was wrong that it must be the tires..lol next the lights started going crazy ,turn signals start frickin out with even touchin them. the dealer reprogramed it fixed cool... next the trailer lights stoped workin ,dealer reprogramed it fixed great..well now its been reprogramed 5 times...lol works right now...
next it shudders bad at take off..dealer has been all over it and cant find a thing wrong..
pass side front wheelbearing went out along with the axle seal.dealer fixed it
it has a rattle that you can feel in the steering wheel , gas peddle..
the dealer has changed all the ball joints all steering links, gearbox, thats not fixed ...
my dash lights went out ones by heater controls and buy oil press. gauge

the front and rear diff. seals have been changed twice and are drippin oil again

If your 06 has 97,000 miles on it. You must drive the livin Edit out of it. Not to mention beat the livin Edit out of it. With that many miles in that short of time. You couldn't have shut the thing off long enough for oil changes. There for ebuse. Also with that many miles on it. How could you find time to take it to the shop 20 times. "sounds fishy to me"

Playing devils advocate,

I have talked with several people who drive over 500 miles a day with their truck (hot shot) and have had no problems with them. If he bought his 2006 truck 0n September of 2005, 12 months, then he only has averaged 8083.33 miles a month, divide that by 15 days a month is only 538.88 miles a day. But if you have 2 drivers you could drive fewer days and have time to put it in the shop 20 times in a year’s time.

BTW, Back in June my wife and I put 1670 miles on my truck in 27 hours and we only stopped for fuel and drive through when it only had 1500 miles on it and it it didn't hurt a thing. But then I did not haul a big load only 1200 Lbs.

Just my $0.02

Trade it in on a Ford, you'll find that you weren't so bad off after all.
