not to get off subject. But want to spell out some facts about VW.
VW Toureg with V10 TDI is no longer offered in states due to emissions.
VW V10 TDI is getting about 32 mpg from reading a post on this a few months back.
VW does make a smaller TDI version with a manual. (2.5 liter V6, I think) not in the states due to emissions.

Seems a little funny that it would "no longer be available in the states" when it just came out. I dont know just pointing out that you would think they would not even bother selling them at all if it was only going to be available for 1 year. That and why on earth would you want a manual Toureg???
I have a manul truck but it is a truck not a luxo SUV. To me a manual in one of those is abought the most asanine idea I could imagine, but thats just me.
Here is a link to a Toureg forum. There have been several mag reviews on the TDI showing mpg's in the low 20's, not 30's.

As far as it not being offered, I don't know, but it is not an option on the "build your own" portion of the VW website.
