MOOG Sway Bar Link Install
While on vacation one of those lovely stock sway bar links broke. Truck was all over the place. For a quick fix till I got home I picked up a MOOG sway bar link and put it on in the parking lot. I did not have a torque wrench and it seems like something is mssising yet the guy at the parts store said thats all it comes with. Needless to say I made it home and now I want to get the truck right.
Does anyone have pics of their MOOG sway bar links and exactly which nuts do you torque. I'm not mecanincally dumb, but i could not make sense of the instructions and the guy at the parts store should be working the drive thru. The lower one with the castle nut and carter pin seems weird to me to torque. This was also the area where I thought there was something missing since the nut is not tight against the mount. I placed an older spacer in there from the stock link to take up the slack till I got the right answer. I don't want to go to a repair shop yet since vacation took out the savings.
Anything will help. Thanks.
