Check Engine Light/Crossing Railroad Track
Check Engine Light/Crossing Railroad Track
Call me stupid!!
I'm going down the road yesterday hauling wood in the back and I came up on a railroad crossing that I never crossed before and crossed it kind of fast about 40mph. Well needless to say I was really stupid because it really jarred the truck because the crossing was at a dip in the road.
My wife was not happy because her head hit the roof of the truck. Anyhow, after crossing the tracks my engine light came on and then the truck stalled and everything shut down, including my portable GPS and Edge Juice with Attitude. I slowed to a stop, put the truck back in park and started her back up with no problem, except that my Check Engine Light is still on. Everything is working like normal, all my gauges are reading fine and the trucks runs and accelerates fine. I drove the truck back home for about 70 miles and everything seemed fine but the CEL is still on. Has anyone experienced anything like this before or would anyone know what code might have been thrown to cause this? I hope I didn't damage anything. If anyone could provide any feedback on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Here is a site where the listing of codes are. http://wiki.dieseltruckresource.com/wiki/Computer_codes It shows that is "P0069 MAP/BARO Correlation" I don't know what that means, sorry. The way I understand these trucks is if a code does come up, the code goes away after a number of normla engine starts. May want to wait a day or two to see if it goes away. Or if concerned, take it to a dealer.
