mileage sucks!!!!

just took a short trip Maybe 100 miles. seems like i burned a 1/4 tank! my overhead was reading 13.1 city (my fiance drives the truck like a grandma) and on the highway i was getting in the 16s. what gives?

Sounds like her foot is not as heavy on the go pedal as yours is and she doesn't drive it like she in the Daytona 500.

Wonder if winter weight fuel has something to do with a little lower than normal mileage. What you are getting for fuel mileage is about what I get with a 4.5 inch lift and the 35s.

my foot has been very light lately...the truck doesnt like like it has towed at all in its life with 33k on the clock. wouldnt that factor in? a smarty will come soon enough...hope it helps!

I already have the Smarty. Helped the power, but I haven't gotten better mileage out of it. Of course, with the power it seems a little harder to keep my foot out of it!!

Did you check your mileage the old fashioned way. The overhead will read low when you figure your tires are 12% oversized. I calculate my mileage my using the odometer and multiplying miles by 1.12 and dividing by fuel used.

GlennRMK is right (well, except maybe about the RMK since I am a Summit guy!)

I used a GPS and the Smarty to recalibrate my speedo. I also always hand calculate my fuel mileage and consistently find the overhead off.
