85,000 miles. Had to have a tranny rebuild at 37,000 miles. That was pretty serious, but it's the only problem I've ever had until now. I think I'm going through some VP-44 issues but I need to complete some more tests first with Cummins, and replace some sensors

My sons truck 96 CTD Extended Cab, Long Box 201,000, One fuel
pump, not injection pump. One fuel shutdown switch. Rebuilt tranny at 118,000. (automatic)

My truck, nothing yet for engine and tranny. Did brakes at 55k,
A/C compressor clutch came apart at 75k, replaced unit and the rest of the mess, I now have a slight leak in the evaporator. Bugger to get to and not cheap.

Dave

Have a buddy with a '98 4x4 5-speed. 392,000 + miles, and it tows every single day. Plows in the winter months too. He runs a delivery service between two remote cities, about 160 miles each way towing a 24 foot Pace enclosed cargo trailer. Only problems were 3 of the early 5-speeds that were famous for the nut backing off. Routine service and knowing how to drive what you've got speak volumes.
