Milage Questions

Seems like there is alot of variation in milage (MPG) on the 600. Are the later built ones more consistent? How does the later buit 600 compare to the 555?

When did they start building the 600? When did they start building the 555? Are there any chips out there designed to give more milage & not more power?

I get to start answering that question on Friday. I am suppose to pick mine up and I will immediately have a 1500 mile return trip to Kalifornia. We shall see what the mileage figures look like upon my return.

I'm guessing here, but I think the 600's were in production starting in Dec '03... someone correct me if I'm wrong. I can't answer the same question regarding the 555, maybe someone else can.

While it is still somewhat inconsistent, from what I have seen, the later build date 600's seem to be getting mileage that is a lot closer to the 555's than the early 600's were. I just test drove a new one over the weekend that was reading low 20's on the overhead... not sure about the actual (hand calc over the long term) but it sure looked promising.

To the best of my knowledge, there are not any chips or boxes out there to improve mileage only... if there were, I'd be wrestling with several other members to be first in line for such a product.
