MIL just turned on

Sorry if this has been covered before, but my light came on yesterday and I'd like to buy an instrument to see why.

The engine is running normally, but it's holding the 1-2 shift longer than usual (about 2200 rpm).

Any thoughts?

You can do the key check method:

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...s-t224833.html

Or stop by an Autozone or the like, they'll read them for free. You could also buy a reader at most any parts stores or somewhere like Harbor Freight. I think the no frills ones are around 50 bucks.

I had an odd fear that there might be a chance that MIL= Mother-In-Law. I'm so glad to see that this isn't the case here.

The good thing about using a reader is you can clear the codes. I haven't found a reliable way to clear them at home, including leaving the batteries undone for a day. And btw, it's not like I get alot of codes. I got one messing around with some stuff and created one.

Stopped at Advance and they found p1751 and p1754, which refers to the transmission throttle valve actuator.

I'll check it out to see if there are any broken wires or other damage, but where can I buy one of these if I need it?
