7X6 + 6 1/4 mil runs =........

Smoked turbo!Well finally got off early enough to go racing and played with the ol TST and proceded to lunch the turbo.Mind you I was not easy on it towing or daily driving and I got 21000 miles out of it with the TST on it.Lucky it took out the exhaust side and no junk in the intercooler!Made a purtty flame then a smoke show out the tailpipe. Well looks like the twins are going on sooner than I thought. Did manage to cut 3 sec. off the times going from 19.01 stock to 16.10 on 7X6 with the stock air cleaner.Settings over that did not change anything.Man the converter is so loose it is not even funny!I think I could have gotten a few more sec,s off with tight converter.Oh well 1 mishap at a time!

You seem to be looking at the glass half full instead of half empty. I want twins myself, but I sure hope I can buy them BEFORE my turbo explodes.

Not bad for a dually auto! Now just upgrade the tranny, turbo and injectors and that 16 will be a 12!!!!!!!!!

A 4 second improvement? How much would that cost?

I'm thinking of the difference of a stock 14 second mustang and a 10 second version.

Haha well I was making that up. Maybe a little bit more than trans/injectors/turbo... maybe new pump too(?). I don't know much about this high HP stuff.

I don't know. A new transmission, a good sized set of twins, maybe a box stack (TST with EZ), and some EDM injectors. Don't seem to unreasonable to me.

Except for the MONEY part the rest is no problem!! Trying to find a EZ to see how much more the low end is.Tried Nowell's EZ when I first got the truck and it was pretty good.Already thinking about the tranny and should know something on that Monday.Guess I'm going to half to hit the boss up for a raise!!

Did you say you were looking to trade your TST for an EZ?

hmm, your scaring me... I run 6x6 quite a bit on my 03 5-spd...

But i have the waste gate set to open at 30... but it usually hits 35 before it opens...

Do you know what made you turbo sign off early? (barking, overboost, or heat???)

thanks, i certainly can't afford a turbo right now... and I never let it bark, anyway, back to work with me

Tommy,It was my lack of better sense! I turned off the EGT limiter and for lack of a better word Fried my turbo!!If i had not done that it would still be alive today.Had 21000 miles on it and never had a problem with it.I towed on 6X6 lots of times but would back it down when i could not control the EGT with my foot.6x6 was where it stayed most of the time.
