Might have Injector or Turbo Problems...Help

I have been hearing a ticking noise coming from the drivers side of the engine mainly while I have been driving on the hwy. At first I thought that it was just normal but it has gotten louder and louder. I have also had problems where I would be driving on the highway and would be going to pass someone and it would just fall flat on its face. I would have the pedal all the way down and nothing would happen. I got on this site and found how to read the codes and the code that popped up was a p0069. I read on this site that it was the map/baro sensor ( i think is what it said) and when I took it to the dodge dealer and told them the code that popped up they said that it was something to do with boost. When I got home today I opened my hood and just at idle I could hear a wierd ticking noise coming from the injectors. So I am thinking that I either have a turbo or an injector problem and I am thinking that it could be both. I have a 2004.5 dodge 3500 srw cummins with a 6 speed manual tranny and 4x4. The truck has 109,200 miles and only has a straight piped 5 inch exhaust and a quad x2 programmer on it. I was just wondering if anyone else out here has ever experienced any of this and if it is safe to drive or not. Thanks for all the help.

Really is it something even more serious than that. What would cause the ticking noise. I could have sworn its coming from the injectors when I had the hood popped open. I hope that its nothing to crazy. I read what the p0069 code meant on this website and it dffered from that of the dealership. From what I hear the dealership that I went to is a pretty repitable one so I dunno. Im confused. Thanks for the help

Check the little blue clamp things that hold the fuel lines going to the injectors. sometimes they get loose and make a ticking noise. For the other problem, I'm not sure what it is, but i doubt its the turbo.

Ok cool. Even if the turbo or the injector is messed up do you think it is safe to drive it?

Also, when is the last time you changed the fuel filter? It sounds like it could be plugged up.

inlet air pressure sensor or boost pressure sensor could set this code and result in no power. My guest would be boost pressure sensor. Also check for any loose clamps on boost hoses from turbo to intercooler and intake manifold. Ticking noise is most likely exhaust leaking at manifold check for any soot at manifold. Check rear bolts on exhaust manifold, those usually will fall out if not tight. The clamps that hold injector lines could also cause injector ticking noise like Tenlin151 had said.

cool thanks guys for all the help. I went out and checked the blue clamps on it yesterday and 4 of them were loose so I tightened them up. Still heard the noise so I will have to check that other stuff. Im taking it to the dealer tom just to have it checked out to be safe that nothing is wrong with it. Thanks again for all the knowledge you guys have shared. This site is great
