Get the Goerend tranny pan. It is a much better design.

I've got a PML front, Mag Hytec rear and tranny.
The Mags are better built, and of higher quality, IMHO.

If I had to do it over again, I'd get a Mag for the front as well (assuming fitment issues are solved, which is why I went with the PML in the first place)

I have the upgraded steering components on mine and had to cut off all the fins on the top half of the MH to make it work. As stated above the trucks seem to be different.

So true---been holding off on doing mine cause last year at Wally Mart a guy with an 06 with 08 upgrades popped his front one off pulling into the parking lot.The lot has a steep off centered climb---just enough to make contact and stress the cover. The guy was Pi$$ed,i thought about offering to help but he was yelling at his truck and everyone around him----- so he can fix is own mistake..-------------PS AFE HAS ONE LISTED ON THERE SITE FOR 03-11 DODGE 5.9/6.7(P/N 46 70041) FOR 288.75 IT MUST FIT WITH THE NEW STEERING UPGRADES.----way cheaper at XDP.com---they list it for 233.75.

Are you really getting 8 quarts in the rear? I just installed the rear MH and it's showing full with just 5 1/2 quarts in. It is advertised as holding 14 pints (7 quarts). I just want to make sure i have enough oil in it. Are there any problems with over filling?

Yes 8 quarts puts it right in the middle of the dipstick. The hole in the middle of the cover isn't accurate on mine.

According to MH, it's 8 quarts.

Thanks for the reply. I called Mag-Hytec and found out, the cover I purchased from Geno's is made by MH for Geno's. It doesn't hold the same amount of oil as the regular MH cover. The one I installed holds between 5-7 quarts.

I have an 05 with 22.5 Alcoa's, a factory replacement Bilstein steering damper, and soon to have a 2.5" front leveling kit installed. I just purchased a 9.25 MH pan for the front. Does anyone know if by now has MH addressed and fixed the clearance issues? Again currently all the stock 2005 steering components except the Bilstein damper. Will I have to clearance the fins to install? Thanks

On my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500, I have the rear diff. MH cover, trans. pan and front diff. cover previously installed. I recently updated to a BD Track Bar, Red Head steering box, and Mopar 4th Gen. steering upgrade. I upgraded the steering dampner clamp that bolts on the Mopar 4th Gen. steering bar to a Thuren Fabrication steering clamp mount (1.57"). I adjusted the placement and it clears the MH front diff. cover. I also have a steering brace previously installed. The original 4th Gen. Steering upgrade clamp hits the MH front diff. cover which is why I replaced it.

I did not file or shave any fins from my front MH diff. cover. The key to good clearance, as mentioned above was the Thuren Fabrication steering clamp mount (1.57"). I took pics and will upload them once I figure out the pics upload process. The dampner steering clamp link is listed below. I decided to give you all an update on my setup since I have been investigating the clearance issue from some time on other posts without any answers:
