Differential Covers?

My Dealer is telling me that my truck needs the diff fluid changed at 15k miles. The maintenance book is stating the same, but that it needs to be changed every 15k miles. If this is the case, I'll get some new diff covers to change it myself. I have a 2006 Quad Cab, LB, 4x4 with auto tranny. What would you guys recommend. Mag-Hytec vs. PML. I've also read that certain ones have front clearance issues. Also any input about the Oasis covers? They look cool, but that's not everything. Thanks for the input.

Mag-Hytec is the one I vote for, have boths diffs and tranny, they are pretty sweet looking and seem to be a quality piece.

I have the same and like it allot....a couple things you should know though....I takes almost twice the oil (mine took almost 8qt's) and if you have bigger tires your spare will rub the cover if you're not lifted.

PML also makes a good cover, they are a little cheaper than Mag Hytec

I have the "raw" PML as well.the only complaint I have is I get some "seepage" around the cover bolts.Probably because the insrructions
didn't say anything about using any kind of thread sealer so I didn't.
When I change my fluid again I will take the cover off and use some blue locktite.

when I swapped stock to PML cover, the instructions didnt say anything about thread sealant. I wouldnt use blue Loctite because if you need to get them off for some reason, you wont be able to.

might want to try some Ultra Grey Silicone, that is some pretty good stuff

No problem getting bolts off with blue locktite. It's the red stuff you have to worry about.

Offtopic a bit, but isn't it funny that Blue locktite comes in the red bottle and red comes in the blue bottle....always been an area of confusion for me...

You noticed it too.

Only time I use the red is on my Harley. For components that I don't want falling off going down the road (and will probably never take off again).

First I heard of that. My blue loctite is in a blue bottle.
