Lorenz Suspensions ?

Has anyone have any experience with the Lorenz dual purpose leaf springs for the rear suspension. If so how was the ride?

I have them

I went from the mini spring pack to the dual rate replacements a few months back.

They ride better than stock and flex better. I get more travel out of the shocks with them on than I did with the mini packs. I only got one good off road drive on them before I broke my foot. So I have not been driving the truck much.

In general they ride more like a 1/2 ton. I have not loaded up the truck to see how they work with weight.

If you go with them, they are heavy, have a buddy help you install. I did it my self and it was a pain.

mainly concern with how they ride on the Interstate freeway, I commute 220 miles a day and it is one harsh ride on I-80 the bouncing concrete freeway in the bay area.

these springs would be a walk in the park compare to the many of 4in. wide 16 leaf walking beam springs I have done in my life time

Mini-paks

I'm running Lorenz's mini-paks which support the weight of my camper real well as well as erasing the majority of Ca's famous chunky freeway sections. I asked Sean about my particular application and he said even with dual purpose springs,I'd need airbags with the camper regardless, with D.P.'s or mini's.
