Be thankful you can drive it to the dealership. Mine died at 44,00km at 9 PM in the midle of nowhere. Dodge sent a tow truck but wouldn't let him give me a ride 6 miles home. oh well it was only 20 below 0C. I was 63rd on the list for a pump and no one would give me a loaner or anything.
I'm now at 78,000km and it is starting to act up again. I even ran Howes this time hoping it would help but appartently not. I'm just going to add a new pusher and be done with it.. Dodge wants $100 just to look at it.. So much for Dodges warranty past 60,000km.
And yes us Canuckle heads are having a hard time with the pumps. Our fuel is drier is what I heard. Not enough lubricity in it due to super low sulphur content. Hence the Howes.
Scotty where's that new pump man.. I'm dying here..Well the damned truck is anyway.

The last time I spoke with him via e-mail he was waiting to make sure he could have all the fittings in hand BEFORE he offered it to the public. No waiting list this time. You gotta love a stand-up vendor like that...

Well I cant say I am too thrilled with the thopught of my lift pump going out in the middle of nowhere so I did a pre-emptive strike and installed a FASS a few weeks ago and love it. I make very long trips once in awhile and I am under the gun for time. I was on a trip to Biloxi recently and my truck threw a fit and died a few hundred miles from town. It died three times in a 12 hour period. I limped it into the deler there and they found the APS(Accelerator Pedal Sensor) was bad. I was at 33,500 miles and they overnighted the part and installed it no questions asked. They had no problems with the mods and all of the work I had done to the truck. The diesel tech and I spoke extensively about what I had done to the truck. They had no problems with the mods and it didn't cost me a dime. I was extremely pleased and suprised. I hope you have better luck at the dealer next time. I think a lot of the problems have to do with what dealer you go to.
They had no problem with your mods?? OMG.. One of the dealerships here installs BD stuff.. I asked a bout a 4" exhaust and the said I would have to sign a paper voiding my warranty.
Asked several other dealers and same thing.. NO MODS what so ever..
Anybody know a mod friendly dealer Edmonton or to the west. I just want an exhaust, upgraded fuel pump and a Scotty..

The tech and the service manager there were great to deal with. I also understand that they may have already voided my warranty previous to me visiting this dealer so I am not at all concerned about getting warranty work done or not. I was just suprised that these folks gave me no hassle whatsoever. I completely understand that I am my own warranty station but I have less than 2K miles before my warranty on the bumper to bumper expires and I don't plan on needing the drivetrain warranty anyway since I am about to tear into the tranny next with a new TC and valve body mods.

That's a pretty ignorant response. Western Canada seems to be the hardest hit, however I know of a couple in Wyoming, most of these trucks are stock, but tow big loads.
