larger fuel nozzle

Hey all.. I usually read everything and never post but I cant find something I swear I read here a while back, somebody had a larger fuel nozzle recepticle in there truck so they can get fuel from commercial fueling stations with the large nozzles. I thought they said it came from Geno's but I cant find it there. Im sure this would help in the foaming when you get close to the neck also. Thanks

Maybe you're getting something confused with the Fords? And that aftermarket nozzle?

As far as my Dodge goes, I've filled up at semi-truck fueling islands without issue. I have read where some guys said to not fuel at full rate because the high fuel flow rate may damage the tank fuel level sending unit. I dunno about that, but didn't fill at full speed, just in case. I try to avoid those islands mostly because of the stinky fuel I end up getting on my shoes.

There have some posts on mods made to the tank vent that presumably permits you to fill the tank higher, at the cost of less tank expansion volume.

Thanks, I havent actually tried it yet but doing the truck side math it doesnt look like it will work, although it obviously does. A big Amen to the stinky shoes at the big boys pump though, man that stuff stays in the cab for a while. oh well I never read about the ferds so I guess it may have been somebody describing it to someone else.

I've used the BIG TRUCK pumps with othe only problem being that the nosel won't go all the way down in the tank
Yeah, it is a good idea to NOT fill at wide open because yes it does stink when you spill it on your shoes. It also stinks when you get it on your hands too You have to understand, those of us here in Oregon don't pump our own fuel because it's against the law.

I've been using the big nozzles at high speed, winds up taking about the same amount of time after you top it off though, about 3 or 4 gallons worth of foam seems like. If you let it get pretty low on fuel the big nozzle will kill a $50 bill in no time flat though.
