Well, since I only drive my truck on long trips...somewhere around 328 cycles......
Sorry couldn't resist...sounds like you had a programmer on at some time. I really have no clue for you. I have 44,000 on mine and I can check for you either later today or tomorrow if you would like me too. Just let me know...

The reason i ask is because i just downloaded my new Smarty JR (and by the way best programmer i have ever used) and key counts are at 1840. I have used other programmers and was under the impression they would erase key counts and start over.

Unless some-one else chimes in, I will get a count tonight or tomorrow morning for you.

I have a buddy with 40K miles and his keycounts are around 5000. The only downloader that has been on the truck since new has been a Smarty.
I have 64k miles and my key counts are now around 800. But before december last year I was running bully dog or diablo sport predator and they both erased my key counts.

So your buddy averaged 8 miles per key count??? You may want to check that again. Your numbers workout to 80 miles per trip...I am at 1285 or about 35 mile average per key cycle over 45,000 miles...

I have 19,585 miles and 1211 key counts and those came after I got rid of the Superchips(only because of poor customer serivce). So the 1211 is on about 6000 miles.

Superchips flashed your ECM. That's how the dealer can tell if certain programmers have been on there. They get erased if the dealer flashes it to!

I'm sure theat he has around 40K miles and 5000 key counts. He doesn't drive the truck much anymore because he bought a 2 wheel drive cummins to race. But he does start it and pull it out of the garage and drive it around a little.
