Is everyone with the manual 6 speed tranny experiencing a lot of turbo lag?

I have felt like mine lags since I got it. Not being experienced with the CTD, did not know what is normal.

 

I had an 06 and it did seem to have much less lag. They are both g56 trucks with the same ratios (ad) in the transmissions. I have the the same programmer on both trucks. Is it the torque management?

 

Mine spools pretty quickly......

 

Mine won't spin the tires. Are they suppose to? My gas HEMI would. I was a little disappointed with the CTD actually when I first got it. Once it gets up on spool it's scoots out. I figured with the same HP and more TQ I'd be able to. Guess not.

Good tow rig though.

 

It just feels like I have to mash the pedal to get it to start spooling. I guess I'm just too used to the ol smarty

 

They have torque management so if you're giving it alot of power but not going anywhere it controls wheel spin

 

I have a 06...no turbo lag to speak of..

 

Slight lag, but tolerable. Like stated earlier, it's part of the torque management system.
