Installed indexing ring, now have a leak, need help.

Installed indexing ring, and now I have a leak. I followed directions about putting a bead of silicone on both sides of the ring. What I don't get is that there was no type of gasket or sealant on the case when I pulled it down and everything was as dry as a bone. Now with silicone I have a leak. I thought the t-case and transmission fluids stayed seperate. Why would I have a leak now.

Got everything fixed. Appears that Superlift sells the kit incomplete. I had to order the seal spacer from Skyjacker. Got screwed in the process because if I would have ordered the entire kit from Skyjacker to begin with it would have cost me $289, now since Superlift's kit ($269) didn't come with the seal adapter, I had to order it seperate, (another $68). Superlift offered no help and didn't even offer an appology for selling me an incomplete kit. Word of advice to anyone ordering from Superlift, look to make sure they are selling you everything you need with it.

Wow, I had/have the same problem, I had to drop my t-case a few times to get enough silicone and it still leaks. Do you have a part number? I have good contacts at Superlift. I can give them a call and see if we can figure anything out.

Talked with Michael at Superlift when all this happened. He said that I should write in a letter to him to give to "the powers that be" He said I am not the first to complain about this.

My biggest gripe was that it did not even mention needing it in the instructions, or any of the web site. It would be one thing if I would have been told that I might need this seal extension, but nothing mentions it at all. When you order the seal extension, you will need to go to the dealership and get another factory rear output seal because you will ruin the on in it trying to remove it. Luckily they are only about $10

I will try to find the invoice to get the part number

Not complaining about Michael, he helped tremendously, just dissappointed with Superlift.

My Pro-Comp lift came with the indexing ring ,and yes it came with the seal spacer too. I checked the dealer and they wanted $30 for that seal i told them to forget it and went to Napa for $13.
