injector ohmage

My truck has been missing on a couple of cyls as of late. I get p0204 ,p2149 ,and p0483.I checked the resistance of the injectors. Five had 1.8 and number 6 has 2.5 ohms. The truck starts great but misses. Is this a solenoid issue .

Checking the resistance of the actuator coil is not sufficient to determine the health of the injector. They must be removed from the engine and tested on a test bench.

2.5 is out of spec, you want below 2 ohms.

I had the injectors bench tested last year, 3 were bad so I replaced those. (poor starting truck with lots of smoke) Now it is intermittent, so I seems electrical, of course #6 is 2.5 ohms. The truck starts very well, so I think there is no heavy bleed back on injectors

P2149 BANK 2 (CYLINDERS 4-6) SHORTED HIGH OR LOW - Mopar1973Man's Dodge Cummins Articles

P0204 INJECTOR #4 CONTROL CIRCUIT - Mopar1973Man's Dodge Cummins Articles

Both codes point to #4 cylinder.
It's the #4 injector solenoid or the wirings from ECM to solenoid, high side or low side circuit.

Good solenoid reading should be less than 1 ohm.

I was suspicious of the high ohm readings, it turns out when I fixed the probe along time ago it never really zeroed after that, 1.5 ohms high. I rechecked the upper harness for continuity and shorts, it is ok. I checked the lower harness for shorts, none found. The ecm connectors came apart and got die elec. grease as well as the upper connectors. Long story short, fired up runs like a champ, but we'll see how long that last. thanks everybody
