Haven't been here in a while, but need some help.

Truck developed a ticking sound that was most noticeable at idle in gear (like sitting at a stop light) dealer tech replaced a gear and the injector pump as per cummins recommendations. Upon first start up when picking up my truck noticed more of an injector clatter coming from under the hood (think mid 90's 5.9). Took the truck back immediately just to have them say it's normal diesel noise. What would cause the drastic change in engine tone after having this work done, damaged injector?
