Injector installation on an '04-305/555
Injector installation on an '04-305/555
How hard is it really to change the injectors on an '04? I usually do my own wrenching on my race car, but you know how these new-fangled fuel injected things are...ha! But seriously, is it very hard or do I need special tools to do it? I am going to check the injectors today by taking off the valve cover to see if any shoot fuel out or are smoking...any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott
If it's your first time doing it, it'll take 6-8 hours. http://dynomitediesel.com/user_pages...html?page=Tech
I cut a slot in the box end of a 24mm end wrench so it would fit around the injector lines. Saved from having to take them off the tubes and removing the fuel rail. Be sure to have a bunch of clean containers to store loose bolts and nuts and 1 for each cylinder. Keep the rockers and injector lines in and separated.
