Hello,
was driving my truck down the hwy today pulling trailer and all of sudden the cel came on and the truck was running like a ford, like poo. I wasn't too worried cause the truck has done this probably 4 or 5 times now this makes. Got limped off the hwy and stopped checked the codes with my smarty and it comes up injector harness short, same thing as the other past times. I fiddled with the conection and took the smarty off and then back on and everything was okay after that. It doesn't seem like there is any ryhme or reason when it does this except when i have my smarty on the #4 setting on timing. The truck doesn't have a timing knock or anything so i don't think its too much timing. I had the smarty on sw4 timing#4 torque stock turbo stock. But im not even for sure on it doing when its always on #4 timing. The last time it done this was probably 2 months ago. Then before that maybe 6 months before that. I unpuged the injector harness connection and checked the appropriate plug and it was ok there so i'm puzzled. Is it something in the smarty or the programing or is it the actual injector harness under the valve cover and if so why does this just pop up once and a while? any thought or help would be great.

 

It is the actual harness that is built into the valvecover. Change it out and you should be good to go.
