Just a thought, since you're not too cold, have you drained the fuel line lately?

 

I drain mine every tank or just about every tank.New fuel filter last week.No change in how it runs cold.It needs a 1200 rpm fast idle.Its smooth at that rpm.Working on my hand pull fast idle(choke cable).Below 30 degrees it Romps.No smoke.
