Idiot previous owner!!!!!!
So I had my head in the machine shop to repair a dropped valve seat in my 03 so I told him to just do everything all new as in EVERYTHING. I expected a bill of 600-800 dollars, so this morning I get a call from my machine shop guy who I've known forever with bad news. To make a long story short someone has milled almost 125/1000ths off this head. Its completely junk now so what's my best option moneywise to do here. Anyone have a head for sale?

The head is true its just milled down to much to be used and still have some meat left in the seats. I would like to have that head on eBay but 1500 seems a little out of my price range after already rebuilding the engine and injectors.

What a bummer!
Sometimes things just suck.
Have you checked with other machine shops/gotta be some alternatives.(?)
There are a lotta really well informed people on here, hopefully some will chime in and help out.
Your compression ratio must really have been really HIGH with that much meat removed from the head. Why would it be cut.125????????---that is ALOT.
Good luck, hope you find a cyl head someplace at a reasonable price, or a repair.

Milling heads that amount was an old trick with low compression gas motors in the 70's.
I am guessing the PO was an old hot rodder with access to a mill!!
The only real change he made was piston to valve clearance and injector to bowl placement!!!

Yeah it sucks. I found a newer model head with inconel seats with only 90,000 miles the PO spun a bearing from bad oil. I got it for $500 so I'm happy.
Milling the head doesn't really affect the compression on our motors as they have a near flat firing deck. I don't technically think its even called a "cylinder" head in a Commons. But yes my injectors were really in the bowl with the previous head. The main reason I was scared of the previous head was due to the seats being really iffy about taking the high egts with so little meat left in them.
