As long as I don't sign the title over into my name, I can take it back anytime is what the Dealer Enforcement here in Texas told me. But, I can't sign the title over in my name anyway since the dealer didn't give me legal paperwork. And my home state of Iowa won't accept it, as I had my home town court house inspect it all and also they forwarded it onto the State Inspector and he said there was too many red flags.

This dealer here in Texas is trying to avoid paying sale's tax on his transactions with the vehicles he gets from non-dealer's. Which is a very big NO NO, amongst other things he has done. He has been giving me a smoke screen right and left. I guess on this one the proper authorites will have to help me.

thanks

Sorry to hear that this is happening, and away from home. I would run from the truck. Who knows what else is wrong? Even if the dealer comes to a point where he is willing to fix it, I wouldn't trust that. A man has a chance to make things right, but after that, he's on his own, in my book.

I know the complete history of the truck, as I have back tracked it to every single person that has had any connection with the truck. The truck has never been abused or pulled anything with it. Not even a bumper pull trailer. The truck is a great "looking" truck besides the engine issues. And well, also the dealer issues. Like I said I have filed with the Ebay VPP auction services and have heard back from them and have been in contact with them and already faxed the info they need.

I have gone some other routes also. I wish I could go in detail, but I better not for the moment.

I wish this was easy to run away from, but the dealer won't give me my money back until the truck is at his dealership and the keys are in his hand and the title is in his hand. And then he will start the process of a bank wire transfer. I don't feel comfortable doing that with the way he has been already. And also I have a boat here that I need to get back to Iowa also. So I am in kind of a bind. I just went today to Arlington and looked at a different truck to buy from another dealer and what a joke. The P/S pump cap wasn't even on it, the tranny was slipping and alot of other stuff were wrong with it. But on ebay the dealer had it listed as a well maintained and fantastic truck. I honestly think I am done dealing with dealers at this point after these 2 experiences. The trucked I looked at today is on ebay and is item # 260756469103

I went and test drove it and looked it over. It is nothing what they describe or the pitcures show!!!

You might want to consider not buying vehicles on fleabay. I have had great experiences buying sporting goods and small stuff like that, but when it come to trucks I think it is a great place to run scams and such. Just my .02. Good luck I hope things can get all worked out for you, I can't imagine how stressful it is dealing over state lines and having to drive back and forth. Good Luck

It has turned what was suppose to be a nice small spring vacation from the harsh weather up north. Into nothing but phone calls and emails and running here and there.

I don't think you can rent a truck down here besides a uhaul truck. I have sold vehicles on ebay but have always been honest about them. After these 2 experiences from 2 different dealers, I am done buying vehicles on ebay.

It's possible to rent a fullsize pickup truck. Hope you get this all untangled. Sounds like a real nightmare.

I got some good news from the Ebay's insurance company today. The seller refused to work with them and refund me the money for the truck. So now I have to get 2 estimates for the insurance company and they will either pay for the engine to be replaced from the smaller amount of the 2 estimates or they will buy the truck from me.

ugh......so this could go either way and all I want is to keep the truck and have it fixed.
