I just went out and started the truck. Let it run through the warming cycle a few times. I started the truck and it idled rough. I took the oil fill cap off and there is white smoke visibly coming out of there. If I put my hand over it, it will move my hand hand and when I went to put the cap back on it will blow that off too.

So I guess this means it's the rings in the engine are shot?

The dealer swears up and down that I bought it from, that the engine isn't blown and that the seal in the turbo is shot and then that the crankcase vent tube filter needs changed.

What are your guys thoughts on that one?

I don't have a compression tester here with me or I would personally do it. Was hopeing someone on here might be in the area and could help out.

I have filed the suit with Ebay and waiting for them to get back with me. I have had to file it a year ago with ebay on a trailer purchase were the guy scammed me over and then Ebay actually sent me my $1,000 deposit back. So I have faith in there VPP system. It worked once so hopefully it does again.

I thought I was getting a good deal on the truck, but now with possibly a blown engine, I would say it isn't a good deal.

The dealer is un-willing to have the truck looked at and or fix the turbo seal and crankcase vent filter that he says are the issues.

A bad injector shouldn't cause excessive blow by. I would bet that you have a broken ring or a washed out cylinder. Never heard of the turbo seal causing blowby.

I didn't think either of those 2 could be the problem either. But that is what the dealer owner claims. The dealer is in Sherman, TX not here in Carrolllton.

Bad injector and you have probably burnt a piston or two get your money back.

Sounds like multiple problems there bud, not just one.

White smoke and rough idle is the injector. you very well could have a plugged vent box on the top, it happens, but would still not give you the blow by you are feeling/seeing. I second the rings, but it can't be too bad as you did not say you saw blue smoke (oil burning) this blow by will cause black oil really fast (although 04.5 and up is notorious for sooting oil fast too)

Good luck.

Yup sorry man but that deff sounds like burnt pistons(faulty rings). Your getting some serious blow by it sounds like, and im guessing from the other threads that i see on this site its both or either cylinders 1 and 6. Ive seen a few threads talking about these rings going out. I doubt its injectors unless the rings hit one or something being as I saw on a thread that number 6 rings actually made it on top of the piston. White smoke out of the vent cap could be oil evaporating. Burning oil out of the exhaust is blue smoke, but burning oil and evaporating oil are two different things.

You know what guys. I am going to try and shoot a video of it with my cell phone and then post it on here and see what you guys think. The owner of the dealer in Sherman, TX that I bought it from is a joke.

When I was looking over the truck again I noticed that the #1 Injector is wet around it while the others are dry. So I assume there is an issue with the #1 injector and or cyl.

What vent box could I look at for being plugged?

I am sure a ring is shot too, but the dealer claims up and down it isn't.

Had the same issue with my truck, exact things you described. I had broken rings, 2 failed injectors and a polished/scored cylinder(#1). Engine is curretly getting rebuilt, I wouldn't keep that truck if you just got it.

At least one of your top rings is broken - usually can tell how bad by loosening the oil filler cap and watching how far blowby ejects it.

Dealer's nature is too deflect responsibility.

The blow by out the oil fill cap was going straight up at least a foot if not more.

Does anyone know of a good lawyer down here?
