I might do DRW!
I might do DRW!
While I can think of a few situations where It may be nice to have a q-cab. The std cab long box may make more sense. I'm thinking I'll be filling the box more often than the seats. The 3500 has no SRW std cab. The 2500 does.
I know it's just a helper spring issue on the H.O.s. I was told by a family member that he could help me with pricing on a rig and that a 3500 std cab DRW he could get the most off of as everybody and their brother wants the QC and SRW. I also looked at what weight I'll somtimes tow for work and the DRW makes sense when I have a gooseneck on. A little extra traction for when I'm done modifying too
Anyone have any tips about getting used to driving a DRW?

Re:I might do DRW!
If the mirrors fit so will the hips. ;D Just pretend you have the gooseneck on her all the time. Worked for me. Within two weeks you will forget all about the hips as it becomes second nature to drive the slightly wider vehicle. My most challenging aspect initially was parking without scrubbing my rear tires on the curb.

Power mirrors help tremedously in avoiding the sidewall scrub while parking. They will move far enough down to see the rear tire.
I have become accustomed to moving whichever mirror will help down to see how close I am to the curb.

Re:I might do DRW!
I have to admit it. The power towing mirror is one of the best parts of my truck. No longer need the better half who always moved that sucker down 45 degrees when I asked for her to move it "a hair".
Re:I might do DRW!
Training wheels are great and nothin to be worried about. Ditto on the mirrors fit so does the hips. That is exactly how I told my pops to drive mine. It was funny to see his face when I pulled into the garage in between his truck and a caddy. You could see the pucker factor and the sigh of relief that we all fit in. Curbs checks only upset the wife a little bit and the kids dig it.
