How often do y'all flip that purge valve on your fuel filter?

Tecnically you're suppsed to drain the filter bowel when you replace the filter and start with fresh fuel or (I've read) fuel supliment . Then put new fiter in! Not every fill up! What a pain in the a** that would be!

Ditto. I occaisionally remember it as I sit and drink beer on the couch, however, I have no inclination to put my beer down, walk all the way across the yard, and get diesel fuel on my floor. No water ever comes out of it anyway if you don't get your diesel fuel from Zed and Bubba's Antique Emporium.

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
I did it probably 2 times when I first bought the truck. I had been around diesels but never owned one of my own until this truck. I followed the owners manual and then stopped. Now only during filter changes. I use Flying J fuel 99% of the time and they are a very high volume station so I am not too worried about bad fuel or water in it.
