How much are stock wheels/tires worth?
I have a set of stock aluminum wheels/tires from an 05 4x4 they have about 4,000 miles on them. Im wanting to sell them becuase I don't plan on ever using them again. I looked on ebay and there was only one set sold and they went for over a grand. Just wondering if thats what the going rate for them were I'm just hoping to get enough out of them to buy a juice/attitude!
The factory wheels seem to have quite a price tag attached to 'em. My uncle has a 2003, and bought a second set of wheels for his summer tires. He had been shopping around locally and the going rate was about 800 for a set of 4!
The aluminum wheels seem to go for 5-6 hundred plus shipping without tires on Ebay everyday, I don't think the tires add as much value as youd think because most people have the tires just not the fancy wheels and the tires really up the shipping cost.
I got a set for a great deal but most I've seen go for around $5-600 for the rims only plus shipping. Shipping for the rims isn't bad but if the tires are on them it gets very expensive...
I paid $700.00 for my brand new Power Wagon polished rims w/ 285s that had 0 miles on them. I was surprised to get them that cheap. Most of the auctions for the high dollars seem to be dealers. The best deals seem to be private party auctions..
I now have a spare set and I'm trying to decide if I want to keep them or not.

I ended up selling all 5 (with 3,000miles) for $550.
They were chrome/steel though.

I paid $500.00 for mine (0 miles), but felt they were worth much more. I really wanted the Michelins, ended up with BFG's. I priced the tires, looked like about $150.00 a piece. I can't complain about $600.00 worth of tires for $100.00 less with a free set of rims added in too???
I would guess that a set of NEW alloys (17" 5 spoke) should be worth about $750-$900 with new brand new shoes.
