How much play is too much (turbo)

Changed the airfilter today and decided to completly remove the intake to check the vanes on the turbo.. Also decided to check for slpine play while I was at it. Upon my inspection I noticed that the "up and down" play was about a 1/32 - 1/16 of an inch MAX.. How much is to much? Also, got about 112,000 on the stocker.

I don't think that is excessive beings there was no oil pressure running to the turbo. In and out play is more important which I think should be no more then .005
