Flip it upside down. That's what I had to do on my old 03. That will get you a bit more adjustment...

Is your bracket on the trans ok? Not bent forward? You can actually bend it toward the rear of the truck some for more adjustment. I know that doesn't sound good to some, but it works and some of the well known builders actually recommend that as well.

be a neat trick to change the rate on that thing, like a cam on a bow...... nice and easy at first, then once ya hit half throttle, or sooner, wham, max psi.

The bigger issue here is why you are needing to do that. On my 03 the trans would shift through the gears really quickly and it drove me crazy. That's why I tried to keep adjusting mine back. Putting a DTT VB on the truck made it much better but still not perfect. I did however, put the clip back on the right way after installing the VB.
If you go too far then you will start having very harsh downshifts which definitely doesn't feel like it's good for the trans...

What is the issue with your trans?

under light throttle i have quite harsh shifts, up and down, and when im coming in for a left turn, without stopping, like if i have an advance light.. and im coasting a little through the turn, then go to accelerate again, as soon as i touch the gas it will downshift hard. i obviously have it as tight as it will go now, but every time i back it off a notch, or 2.. it seems to get worse.

Seems like it is way too tight already. Have you tried to loosen it way up and see what happens? Have you reset your APPS yet?

i have loosened it just up to a couple clicks, and it seems worse.. but maybe i'll do it some more and see what happens. i did put a volt meter to my apps there, and it was low initially, since i've reset it to .58 when it suggested .585.. and since i've turned it as far as it will go and achieved .6

I remember even pulling my APPS apart and tightening the coil inside it. That helped me a good bit too. I can't remember exactly what I did though. Sorry, my brain is toast.....
You definitely don't want slack in the line and you "Shouldn't" have to stretch it like you are doing. You definitely have a problem there....

the looser i go with the cable, the more noticeable my 2-3-2 shift hunt is.. because the cable takes such a bend down beside the transmission, i think it has worn on the inside of the cable 'housing' and made it seem as though its stretched. i was gunna just replace it and see if that helped. but i can't seem to find one in a reasonable amount of time,
