Hmmm.. Truck died twice yesterday...

On my way home I had to make a pit stop. When I came out I started the truck quickly and gave it a quick romp on the throttle to get out onto the road and it just died. Started it up again and it died on it's own. Turned the TST down to 0/0 and started it up again. It started just fine and I reved it to about 1500 rpms for a couple seconds and it seemed fine. All was fine the rest of the way home even with one more stop on the way. Halfway home I turned the TST back to 3/2 with no issues... Each time I started it she fired off immediately. Hopefully it was just a fluke......

See my thread, "Quad throws code" 3-6-06, I think its on pg 3 now.Perf.section

I had just started up on 100setting in my driveway & was idling up to the
freeway on the FM.

Beginning to believe trucks don't like big settings until they are fully awake.
kinda like us getting out of bed & running a mile?........

I was already warmed up from driving about a half hour. I was on a very busy road and usually it would take 5 minutes for an opening to get in. It was clear so I started without waiting for the WTS light to go off and quickly put it in gear to go. That's when it died. No codes and my ride this morning was uneventful. I don't know........

Dzilla, That WTS light is more than grid heaters. It is the time for the ECM to check all sensors for tolerance and then if ok fueling can start. I've never died but just no power....limp mode for a few seconds. TST needs a little time to get clued in also. ks

I would bet that was the problem. Hopefully!!!

No problems at all today except I popped the hood this evening and found another little box under the hood. I don't know what it is or where it came from but it says Edge EZ on it. The trucks seems to run a bit better with it there so I'm gonna leave it alone.........
