what year models does this include? i have an 04' with an automatic, do i have a high idle?

I think '04.5 and up. Others will chime in.

Well, you'll have to pay for the kit and install.

But they shouldn't charge to enable the high idle

.... it'll probably be bundled in with the labor to install the kit

Here's my 2 cents on the issue: These manufacturers are on crack - period - and not just DC. They should not even make a diesel pickup without a manually controlled (set by cruise control or otherwise) high idle feature. This should be standard equipment from the factory as should the rear inner fender liners. JMHO.

My local 5 star told me I would have to pay for the TSB unless there was a problem that the truck had and the TSB would fix.

So, I thought for a second and said my truck won't idle up when it's cold out...

So what is the purpose of the HIGH-IDLE?
Can you sit in the truck and take a nap during winter (truck being outdoors of course) with this feature?
Lastly, does this feautre INTERFERE with any boxes (Edge or Quad)??

I had had the switch installed on mine, pretty easy, just need to be comfortably plugging into the ecm. They then can activate using the DRBII.

It's a clutch switch...completes the circuit when the clutch is disengaged. RPM goes up to 1100 on activation and can be increased to 1500 with the accel button.

Well just got mine done...$27 for 2 minutes of work and they had my truck for 45 minutes!!! But at least it wasn't the $55 that I was quoted. And they didn't keep my truck for up to 2 day that they told me over the phone. All in all it went a lot smoother than I thought it was going to be. Next on the list is my engine block heater cable as soon as it gets here.
