turn the cruise on. press set. that should take it up to about 1k. then use accel and decel to adjust. i use it for extended periods of idle time, or if your having to winch

Ok I assume having the truck in Neutral is what triggers it to do the high idle instead of cruise control.

You don't need set parking brake or anything else?

Ok I tried the method(s) above and nothing.

1. Start truck
2. Turn on Cruise
3. Press set

Tried with both parking brake on and off.

Am I doing something wrong or did the dealer never enable it?

What do you consider extended?

I found that on my truck, I don't need the emergency brake. I start the truck, turn the cruise control on, and then press and hold the set button for about 2-3 seconds and it comes right on. If your truck is an '06, it should have come from the factory with it turned on. Try holding that set button for a few seconds. I was pressing it and letting it go too quick at first. Let us know how you make out.

this did not come standard on our trucks. i had to have mine enabled at the dealer. as for the tsb, im not sure there is one. its just something that they enable with the star scan tool. takes literally about 45 seconds once they hook it up. and you can use it in neutral w/ the park brake set

if i go to the bank, ill kick the idle up to about 1k. i never know if im gonna be 5 mins or 30 depending on how slow some people move. besides i like hearing it run
