HEMI vs Diesel front springs?

Are they the same on a Mega Cab or are the Diesel springs different?

I imagine they are a different springrate due to the heavier ctd, but probably look similar to each other.

They'd have to be different - far more curb weight on the front axle of a CTD!

I do believe that on the Mega cabs the front springs are the same. On couple different Megas we lifted we had questioned that as well and two different lift companies said they were the same. I really hope they are, otherwise, there are a couple of trucks running around with very cushy front ends.

That is the thing. My budy is lifting his mega cab and has no use for the stock front springs. We are doing the leveling kit on my truck at the same time and using some of his old parts like control arms to replace my old parts. Just wondering if I could use his 06 Hemi mega cab springs to replace my old worn out 96 cummins springs. Would like to know how to determine if this is going to work. If the material diameter, coil spacing and total height are the same I would think it would work.

I don't think that it would work, believe the suspension has been changed substantially since 96, and the mega cab probably uses similar if not exact springs as a long bed quad.

If the gas springs are different from the diesel springs and you are looking for newer springs, i have a set off my mega diesel. You can have them, just pay shipping. They have like 5k miles on them.

I know that the leveling kit is the same all the way up to 04, but not sure about after that. Once we get them out I will be able to assess the situation a little better. cbrahs, I will let you know and thanks for the heads up on the springs.

He hasn't been on here on 3 years. He's a friend of mine so I asked and those are long gone!
