Help w/06 cutting out under load!!

I have an 06 ctd w/6 speed manual, 57k that just recently started cutting out under load pulling hills, etc.. I immediately thougt it was the fuel filter so i changed it and still does the same thing?? The air filter is new within a thousand miles as well. Could it be the infamouse fuel pump?? Sure acts like it's starving for fuel, because it is when you are on the throttle pretty hard pulling a hill w/trailer etc.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. One other thing worthy of mentioning is i have the edge/attitude that has been on since about 10k with it set in the number two setting?? However it just recently started doing the cutting out, so i don't think it is related to it, but who knows? Anyone?

Fuel pump is going. Recommend an aftermarket w/ a 2 mic filter. Yer lucky, Mine only made it 13400.

Take your box off first and see how it does. Put on a fuel pressure gauge. It is very, very rare for an in-tank pump to go out or have issues.

I have taken the Edge off and told my guy (as i don't drive the truck anymore) to drive it for a week or so and see what happens. My guess is that it will still do it, but maybe not as much or not as bad, as the edge adds more fuel.

06ram2500, did yours cut out when your fuel pump went?? Any other symptoms? I have not seen any service engine lights, and no codes according to the edge/attitude. Is the fuel pump covered under the 100k or only the 36k?? If it's not covered what should i be looking for (FASS?)?
