Help please 2005 DR 2500 engine swapped

last week I pulled the old engine out due to a huge hole in the side of the block that is a story for another day anyways we ordered a remanufactured engine for this truck I bolted everything onadjusted the valve lash hooked up all of the sensors connected the batteries attempted the start. It took a few minutes to prime but now it will run on it own fuel from tank.

But now it seems to have a miss and loss of prime. At idle I can hear a knock. Which does increase with the RPM's. I just cannot figure out the rough idle and also possibly the knock I'm at a loss. There are no codes coming up at all thus my dilemma... Any help is appreciated

Nobody has a crystal ball and we don't wear your ears. What kind of remanufactured engine? Long block? Short block, Junkyard special? What parts did you have to install. Is the knock mechanical or is it an ignition knock?

Your choices here are short. Either you screwed up something or the engine is junk and I can't tell you from here without more info.

yes it was a remanufactured long block I had to move over all of the external parts including the PCMalso had to install rocker arms adjust valves install injectors and tubes and had to run wiring harness the noise that I am hearing almost sounds like in ignition noise but I cannot tell. Yesterday I replaced all connecting tubes for injectors and it seemed to idle a little better. But after running about 45 seconds it begins to shake and such. Here in a bit I'll take a video of it and maybe be a helpful tool for someone else.

What caused the original engine to fail, was it a fueling issue? Sounds like you have either a injector issue which will cause a light knock or possibly a wire harness issue. Did you use new injectors or the old ones. I would pull the injectors and have them tested by a qualified shop.

Rich is correct. Take the injectors to a qualified testing facility, before you trash the new motor.
