Rusty oil pan

I have a 04.5 3500 srw that I bought used about 4 months ago. At my first oil change I noticed the oil pan is a little more rusty than I would like it to be. I am wondering if it can be change while the motor is still in the truck. To me it looks very tight and hard to tell if it would be able to be removed. I also thought about trying to salvage the current one at my next oil change by wire wheeling of the rust and painting it in hope that the rust will stop. Anyone else have this issue and what did you do to fix it?

yes it can be changed without pulling the motor gotta undo the mount on the passenger side and lift the engine a bit then unhook the pickup tube after you drop the pan to get it out
