My temp use to be always in 195, Now with no load , no trailer and no hills, is climbing up to 210 easily. It has never exceed 215, but it worry me not to be like it should be.
So far i have replace the following.:
New Radiator.
New Fan Clutch
Remove the Thermostat (for testing)
Water Pump was installed new about 20,000 miles ago (cummins, Look Find.)
Lower water hose feel fine
Upper Water Hoses also feel Fine
Replace Coolant
Air bleeding procedure.(many times)
Any help is welcome ...Thanks

Was the thermostat replaced or just tested and reinstalled? If it was replaced, you may have gotten a hotter thermostat. Otherwise, my truck will go to 210 occasionally, but it settles right back down to 190 or so.

Hopefully its something simple and not a cracked head or head gasket...... I had my old JD diesel tractor develop a crack and you could fire it up cold with the radiator cap off and see it purculating air bubbles up and out. It would get hot and build enough pressure to pop the cap.
Also how is your radiator cap doing? I have had the cap get weak and not allow good pressure and cause overheating.......

Yes im testing without the Thermostat , just waiting for a new one to arrive.
I remove to see if it was a defective thermostast.
The radiator cap is also new , it came with the new radiator.

I don't know if you have a lot of bugs and crap down there, sometimes its as easy as cleaning the rad, if it gets a little plugged the temp`s will climb, when we are towing the 5th wheel I will take a brush and take all the bugs out of the rad, I will spray something like simple green or another degreaser on the rads and let it sit and spray it out with a hose.

The first thing to check is always the gauge. Drive the truck around and get it good and warm. With the engine warm and running, hit the thermostat housing or the area around the coolant sensor with an infrared thermometer. Make sure what you're seeing on the gauge is actually accurate.
