Help Needed; leaking anti-freeze

In the last week I have noticed what appears to be antifreeze leaking from the engine bay (obviously). It looks like it is coming from a coupling on a coolant line just between the turbo and the block. The line is black but the coupling appears to be a silver non-ribbed flex with hose clamps on both ends. Both hose clamps are good-in-tight. It only leaks when parked on an incline. Does anyone know what the coupler is and is it a common issue? It is still under warranty so it should be covered, just dont want to give up the 2 days sitting at the dealer.

Thanks,
Judson

mine leaked as well..but I just snugged the hose clamps up and mine quit leaking.

EDIT

maybe try snugging the hose clamps with a nutdriver or 1/4" ratchet and socket

This is a common issue with 06 trucks. Loosen clamps, rotate them a little and re-tighten. Problem fixed.

I tried to tighten mine as it just started to leak a little. I can't seem to get to the clamps with any thing to tighten them. Anybody know the size and any tricks or special tool to get to them.

Collant Leak

I just posted the other day about this leak. If you go to the search function and put in Coolant Leak it will bring it up. You will get some pictures and where the leak is located. I can not remeber the wrench size, but it was a SAE size.

Thanks for the replies fellers. The hose clamps are really tight; i will take the suggestion of loosening and repositioning to see if that helps.

Our camera is on the fritz, but if you look down between the turbo and the block, back near the firewall, you will see the silver sleeve w/2 hose clamps. You have to be pretty much over the top looking down to see it.

Mine leaked as well, I think this was common on the 06 ers. I swung mine by the dealer and they quicked did it while I waited. Good luck-Frog
