I bought a 05 CR a few weeks ago and it has a programmer in it, its not bad i like the power the thing has, but im thinkin upgrading to a smarty, how can i identify the chip or erease it? The dealer where i bought it has no idea what it has

if it's just a downloader, having the dealer re-flash the ecm will remove it.

Are you sure about that Chipmonk?

i'm pretty sure that when the ecm is re-flashed, the existing files are erased or over-written.
