How much tranny fluid for 2004 5.9

changing filter today for cross country run how much of the tranny fluid does it usually hold

My RE48 took 6.5 Qts to refill when they installed a new trans filter so buy 7 just to be safe and if you have any left over return it for a refund.

Here is the fill chart from the 03 Dodge Manual. I find it gets you really close on the cold fill after a filter change. These transmissions do not like to be overfilled.
