My truck has sat for the last year and a half due to transmission failure and lack of repair funds.
I now have a new trans installed and am wondering about the lifespan of the injector pump. I make long hauls and do not want to break down.

I guess my question is how tough are they? The truck fired right up after sitting.
The truck has 300k miles. A Diablo sport predator puck and 4 inch exhaust. It is fairly stock. I am changing the injectors also and the lift pump.

i cant answer your question, but i will tell you to make sure are VERY VERY clean when changing injectors. clean your tools, wear latex gloves. you dont want a spec of dirty getting in your injector.
