Help...got truck torn down and cant get ABS sensor off...

I have my truck all torn down and looking to replace the bearing hub. I am trying to remove the old ABS sensor and I can Not get the dang thing undone.

I see a red cap type thing. I pushed it up and still can not get the old one off.

Can I take the new one off the bearing housing and use the old one?

Is there a trick to getting the old one off??? got parts scattered everywhere...

thanx guys...

are you talking about the wire connectors or you trying to get the sensor out of the old hub?
If its the wire connector, look at the new one to see how the connector works. some times, dirt, gravel gets in behind the tab u need to push and makes it difficult to remove.
Tap on it, blow it out with air, etc. Try pushing it back together then press tab to release.
Ive done several bearings, but don't remember exaxtly how the mechanism of the connector works. I can go look.

ok, on the connector on the truck side, just push down on the tab. that's how mine worked. but try pushing connector together first, sometimes, all the pulling will put the locking tab in a bind and it would release.

i found it. there is a hidden snap switch under the hood of the sensor switch. relieved pressure and it slid right out.

this was at the wire connectors. Got the hub on, now got to put the new brake pads on and all that junk.
