Help !! With Clinking And Clanking From The Front End

OK so i was driving the truck today and all of a sudden when i went to turn left or right at a intersection i got this clinking and clanking and grinding coming from the front end ...

so i went home and took the front tire off and it sounds like it is coming from the drivers side inner front axle .. just in front of the u joints in the axle tube .. has anybody ever heard this ??? help !!

my truck has 80000 km on it and i have had it almost 3 yrs .. but i think that part of the truck has a 7 year 115 km warranty on it

thanks for any info

Gary

My truck has just started doing the same thing w/ 59,000 on it. I checked the u-joint last weekend, but it looked good. I figured that's what it was, now I just gotta get it changed.

Thanks!

well i checked mine before i took it in too .. and i could not see anything wrong with it .. the noise seemed to come from inside the axle tube.. oh well my dealer changed it under warranty with no problems... quiet as a mouse now ...good luck with getting yours done ...

Same exact thing with mine... the sound seemed to come from the axle tube. I'll probably just change mine myself. By the time I take to put my stock exhaust back on I could have the U-joint changed. Plus I can do it for less than $100.
